Embrace the Understated Elegance of Handmade Contemporary and Transitional Rugs
Highlighting simple designs and soothing tones, our contemporary and transitional rugs are the perfect choice for those who love muted elements in their home decor. While our contemporary rugs come in a wide range of subtle colors and designs, transitional rugs are more like a blend of traditional and contemporary designs. They are typically more vibrant and intricate than contemporary rugs, have fewer than 10 colors, and are less "visually" busy than the traditional variety. Sourced from the rug-weaving regions of India, Pakistan, Tibet, Nepal, Turkey, and Iran, the essence of these naturally dyed rugs resides in their excellent quality and delicate presentation of details and design.
Discover the Old-World Charm Of Our Traditional Persian Rugs
Needless to say, the origins of the traditional Persian rugs are rooted in ancient Persian culture. It was more than 2,500 years ago that rug weaving began in Iran. Yet, this specialized art from reached its zenith during the reign of Shah Abbas. Since then, skilled artists around the country have preserved this glorious tradition and helped it flourish.
From the magnificent floral and geometric motifs splashed across them to their rustic hand-knotted textures, each rug presents its unique value. Because of the arduous work and time that goes into making each rug, they inherit a distinctive look and appeal that cannot be recreated. Decorating your home with our traditional naturally dyed rugs will bring your refined taste and vision of grandeur to life.

ABOUT USDear Visitor & Rug Lover
I was about seven years old when my family moved from southern Iran to city of Isfahan in central Iran. We used to go to a village west of Isfahan to stay there for the summer. One day we visited our next door neighbor, and I saw several ladies singing songs and weaving rugs. I was fascinated by that so I stayed the whole day with them and visited them just about every day till we returned to Isfahan. During my childhood after school I spent some time in Isfahan’s rug trade center and learned about rugs. I moved to the United States in 1986, and as I noticed the big market for Persian rugs, I chose to be a rug merchant.
